60th Annual Billiards Championship

Defending national billiard champion K.H. Sirisoma of  Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) made history by clinching National Billiards title for the 21st time, beating S.H.M. Aslam of Moors Sports Club six sets to three in the final of the 60th Annual Billiards Championship conducted by Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka at the Sugathadasa Sports Complex.

The game was evenly poised with both Sirisoma and Aslam competing well, but Sirisoma won the fifth, sixth and seventh sets in row to get into a commanding position. Sirisoma led five sets to two at that stage. Then Aslam won the eighth set 101-90 to reduce the gap five sets to three but Sirisoma bounced back and won the next set 101-33 to record a win in the national championship for the 21st time.
