Sri Lanka won the five-match series 3-0, with the first and last one-dayers abandoned due to rain.
In 5th ODI ,Sri Lanka were reeling at 123/8 in 28.3 over when rain played spoilsport. 
New Zealand captain Ross Taylor won the toss and elected to field first, Sri Lanka slumped to 123 for eight when rain stopped play.New Zealand  fast bowler Tim Southee taking three wickets to put the hosts under pressure.

Sri Lanka Opener Upul Tharanga (60) top-scored for Sri Lanka, 
This was the second game to be washed out in the series. Sri Lanka won the ODI series 3-0.Earlier in the series, the first match was abandoned without a ball bowled.The 3rd and 4th ODI was also won by the hosts with an identical margin of 7 wickets.
Sri Lanka and New Zealand will play a two-Test series starting in Galle on Saturday.
